Fire Warden / Fire Marshal Courses
The role of the fire marshal or fire warden within a business carries a number of responsibilities. They will be involved in fire drills and real evacuations and they may also carry out fire checks, give fire inductions and keep vital records. They will need the ability to use fire extinguishers safely and correctly. For that reason adequate training is essential for every person working in an organisation, company or an office building. Our Fire Warden course will provide information on the day to day management of fire safety and also the response needed in the event of a fire.
Our 4hr course is designed for all those who are required to manage a fire emergency at their place of work. Topics covered include:
- Introduction to Fire Safety
- Understanding The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO)
- Fire Risk Assessment
- Record Keeping
- Types of Fire Extinguisher
- Causes of Workplace Fires
- Fire Safety Precautions
- Reducing Risk
- Fire Action Planning
- Understanding human behaviour during a fire emergency
On completion of this course a certificate valid for three years will be awarded. Cost per person £40 + VAT
