Who should take the course?
All school staff, including Breakfast and After School Clubs are required to undertake training in line with Benedict’s Law, effective in schools
from September 2026.
About the eLearning module:
The aim of this online course is to enable school staff to recognise and respond appropriately to
allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, within educational settings. It supports schools in
meeting current national guidance and strengthened allergy safety expectations linked to
Benedict’s Law.
The course includes practical video demonstrations showing the correct use of adrenaline
medication (including adrenaline auto-injectors and the EURneffy® nasal spray), as well as
basic life support (CPR) and AED use during an anaphylactic emergency.
The course may also be used as part of a blended learning programme, with a follow-up
practical session providing hands-on familiarisation with adrenaline trainer devices and practical
CPR/AED skills where schools wish to provide additional face-to-face training or competency
